Abstract
Modern coding sequences are in the periodic-to-chaotic transition. In the
case of alpha A-crystallin coding sequence of the chicken, the initial tetrameric
periodicity of the primordial tetramer C C T G has been decaying by the golden mean:
the 4, 7, 11 rule. Thus, the tetramer has become parts of recurring heptamers, and
some heptamers have become parts of the 11-base-long repeating units.
