I'm working in the fields of statistical genetics, genomics, bioinformatics, computational biology, theoretical biology. The common theme of these fields is the quantitative description, solution, of biological and medical problems. I have been searving as an editorial board memeber of Journal of Theoretical Biology (since 2003) and Computational Biology and Chemistry (since 2005) (and I just finished my 3-year rotation as an editorial board member of Bioinformatics (2005-2008) ).

I tried to maintain bibliographies on (currently) nine topics: features, patterns, correlations in DNA and protein texts, gene and genome duplication, computational gene recognition, linkage disequilibrium and genetic association, copy number variation, microarray/expression data analysis, absolute pitch, Zipf's law, and 1/f noise. These are either my current or past research interests. I'm also maintaining two comprehensive resource lists, one is the genetic analysis software list , another is a list of places that offer bioinformatics course and degrees.
